Sydney’s Parramatta Park has officially welcomed Misc. to its sprawling grounds, with the 300-seat venue bringing new life to the area.

The indoor-outdoor restaurant is the brainchild of Restaurateur Jad Nehmetallah (The Picnic Burwood; Gogglebox), who says the venue will offer an “unmatched dining experience” to guests.

“Western Sydney has been waiting for a spot to proudly call their own,” he says. “The focus is on the food and what it means to different people.

“It’s in my blood to bring people together; to create family, fun and full stomachs. Now I’m doing it on a larger scale.”

Sebastian Geray has been appointed head chef of Misc., with former Fish Shop chef Joel Bennetts collaborating on the Mediterranean-leaning menu.

“We’re an all-day restaurant with a separate breakfast and lunch offering,” says Geray.

“From our breakfast menu, our in-house focaccia or flat bread paired with all of our sides is the perfect way to start your day.”

Most dishes are designed for guests to share, with highlights covering wood-fired puffy bread, squid, beef tartare, labneh, fried zucchini rounds, saganaki and king prawns.

Cocktails are also on offer alongside an extensive wine list covering local and international drops from Morocco, Italy, France and Lebanon.

Misc. is open seven days from 8am until 4pm.
