The Vineyard launches new al-fresco dining on its 25th anniversary

The new al fresco dining pavilion will offer seafood, fish, caviar, light bites and sharing platters

The Vineyard Hotel and Spa in Newbury, Berkshire, has announced the launch of its new alfresco dining concept, Catch, on 10 June as the hotel prepares to celebrate its 25th anniversary.

Opened in 1998, The Vineyard Hotel and Spa is owned by entrepreneur and winemaker Sir Peter Micharl and features 49 bedrooms and suites, a spa which includes a pool, a small gym, and treatment rooms.

The new al fresco dining pavilion will offer seafood, fish, caviar, light bites and sharing platters.

Typical dishes will include Whole grilled Port Isaac lobster; St Austell mussels ‘marinière’; Spatchcock poussin, fregola and roasted peppers; the Vineyard Cheeseburger; Roasted aubergine with tomato and mozzarella.

The new dining space will also offer peanut butter and jelly ice cream sandwiches; and Eton Mess for dessert.
The 40-seat space will be open daily from noon.

Additionally, to celebrate the landmark 25th anniversary, The Vineyard will host a number of events throughout the year.

These commence on 7 July with ‘The Grand Crew Wine Diner’ which will see five former executive chefs return.

The evening will include six courses from five chefs, all paired with wines from 1998 to the present day.

The chef line-up will include Tom Scade, Robby Jenks, Daniel Galmiche, John Campbell and Billy Reid.
Wines will be chosen by Romain Bourger, Taittinger UK Sommelier of the Year 2019-2021.
