Les Clefs d’Or Ireland appoints new president

Padraig Casey will be responsible for leading the Irish division of the organisation, along with a newly-appointed team, for the next two years

Les Clefs d’Or Ireland has announced the appointment of Padraig Casey, the head concierge at Killarney Park Hotel, as its new president. 

Casey will be responsible for leading the Irish division of the organisation, along with a newly-appointed team, for the next two years. 

He was previously awarded the Les Clefs d’Or’s ‘Best Concierge for Ireland’ award in 2019.

Meanwhile, Killarney Park Hotel, a 67-bedroom five-star hotel adjacent to Killarney National Park, was later named ‘Number One Hotel in Ireland’ by TripAdvisor in 2021. 

Marcus Treacy, general manager at Killarney Park Hotel, said: “We are so delighted for Padraig as he takes the reins at Les Clefs d’Or Ireland. 

“They are in exceptional hands as Padraig always goes that extra mile to exceed guest expectations and it is a great honour to have him as a member of the Killarney Park family.”

Martin Mulholland, ex-president of Les Clefs d’Or Ireland, added: “Padraig is a wonderful ambassador for Killarney and for the concierge of Ireland.”

Les Clefs d’Or is a global professional association of hotel concierges with over 4,000 members. With roots dating back to 1929, Les Clefs d’Or was officially founded in France in 1952 as a not-for-profit organisation. Members are identified by the golden crossed keys on their lapels.
