Cardrona Hotel appoints new general manager

Mark Steedman has more than 20 years of experience in the sector and was previously general manager at Fairfield House Hotel in Ayr

Macdonald Hotels and Resorts has recently appointed Mark Steedman as general manager of Cardrona Hotel, Golf and Spa in the Scottish Borders. 

Steedman, who is originally from Edinburgh, has more than 20 years of experience working in the hospitality sector. Prior to joining Macdonald Hotels and Resorts, he was general manager at Fairfield House Hotel in Ayr, a position he held for almost seven years. 

Steedman said he joins the group with ambitions to refine the experiences at Cardrona Hotel, Golf and Spa, placing a particular emphasis on developing the hotel’s team. 

Located on the outskirts of Peebles, close to the world-famous River Tweed and Glentress Forest, Cardrona Hotel, Golf and Spa is a versatile destination which is perfectly suited for short breaks, golf or cycling trips, corporate events and weddings.
