Red Carnation moves 100 Princes Street opening to spring 2024

Another stand out feature will be plans for a 2:1 staff ratio “showcasing the best” of local Edinburgh talent

Red Carnation is set to open its new 100 Princes Street hotel in Edinburgh in Spring 2024.

It was previously announced in August that the brand’s first Scottish hotel would open on 1 November this year, however the date has now been pushed back.

The luxury 30-room hotel will feature a mixture of guest rooms and suites, many offering views of Edinburgh Castle.

The property has been designed by Toni Tollman, Philippe Bonino, and Brian Brennan, and carefully curated with furnishings and artwork from local artisans.

The hotel will also have a residents-only “Explorers’ Club” which will immerse guests in a “truly Scottish experience”, culturally inspired design and famous signature dishes.

Stand-out features at the hotel will include a wine wall with over 200 fine wines and an incredible collection of acclaimed Scottish whiskies.

Another stand out feature will be plans for a 2:1 staff ratio “showcasing the best” of local Edinburgh talent.
