Cameron House appoints new resort director
Lavizani most recently served as general manager at Marine Troon Spa and Resort, where he oversaw the refurbishment of the hotel to 5-star standards under new ownership
Scotland’s premier luxury resort, Cameron House on Loch Lomond, has appointed Michael Lavizani as its new resort director.
In his new role, Lavizani will oversee the resort’s 500 strong team to help provide an “outstanding” guest experience.
He joins during a “highly anticipated period” of the resort’s history, as it celebrates its 200th anniversary this year.
Lavizani most recently served as general manager at Marine Troon Spa and Resort, where he oversaw the refurbishment of the hotel to 5-star standards under new ownership. This involved recruiting, training, and inducting all new team members, alongside formulating a new rate and growth strategy for the property.
He began his career in hospitality as an assistant manager with 5-star hotel The Royal Horseguards, before becoming the general manager of Shrigley Hall Hotel and Spa in Cheshire.
From there, he gained a wealth of managerial experience in some leading names within the hospitality sector with companies such as De Vere Estates and DoubleTree by Hilton.
Lavizani said: “I have lived in close proximity to the resort for the past 25 years and have always considered it the pinnacle of Scottish hospitality.
“I’m privileged to be leading such an incredible team of passionate professionals and to now be part of the 200-year history. Cameron House Hotel already attracts international visitors from Europe to the Americas but now I want to propel its status to the most internationally recognised luxury hotel in Scotland.”
