Adagio names Jean-Marc Schnell as COO
As a member of the Management Committee, his mission will consist of supporting Adagio's growth plan, leading the Operations team in France and Europe, implementing the renovation plan and monitoring the transformation of the network
Adagio, the European aparthotel provider, has appointed Jean-Marc Schnell as its new chief operating officer and member of the Management Committee.
The group said Schnell aims to “capitalise on the strong growth in activity of the brand to mobilise the talents of the sector and use his accomplished experience as a leader in the hotel industry, acquired on three continents over 30 years”.
As a member of the Management Committee, his mission will consist of supporting Adagio’s growth plan, leading the Operations team in France and Europe, implementing the renovation plan and monitoring the transformation of the network.
Schnell’s journey started as the director of independent hotels in the Regions (Alsace and Calvados) following the director of the franchised Sofitel of Montpellier.
He then joined the ACCOR group in 2003 to develop Operations in Africa with a network of 40 hotels in 15 countries until 2016.
He finally joined the ACCOR Centre Europe team, based in Munich, as VP Operations economy and midscale segments for Germany and Austria (205 hotels) before becoming SVP Operations Franchises and in charge of owner relations during the Covid crisis with more than 70 partners.
Schnell said: “I am here to lead Adagio towards improvement and increased results. My objective will be to support development, among other things through franchising, in a human and responsible way of thinking, with customer satisfaction at the heart.”
